CASALGIORDANO

This olive grove dates back to the ‘700s and is located in the estate of Casalgiordano, in a mountainous area 600 meters above the sea level in the Blufi area of the Madonie. This area is a valley facing the south and its slope is 25%. The terroir is rich in loam and covered in sandstone on the surface. The climate is particularly mild for the Madonie area: it’s dry and hot in the summer and hardly ever snows in the winter. Following the tradition of the time in which it was planted, this olive grove has spectacular secular olive trees of the indigenous cultivars of the higher part of the Madonie mountain range: Passalunura, Rizza and Crastu.
